
Who I am...
Mary Beth is a Professor Emerita from Chatham University and clinical psychologist whose work focuses on teaching health care professionals and community members about the mental health and social justice impacts of climate change and other environmental problems, and also about individual and communal benefits of healthy connections with nature. She has been involved in activist work related to climate change and other environmental issues, and also related to food insecurity among children in our region.
Mary Beth is a mother of two wonderful adults, and grandmother to two amazing children, all of whom inspire, ground, and teach her. She lives in Pittsburgh, PA with her partner, Larry.
Her daily nature photography practice fills her with joy and fuels her activism.
